2. Copyright Registration Form (Template): Complete the form with all the required details about your work. here
3. Copy of the Work: Submit a copy of the work, which can be a printed version, electronic copy, or a copy of the work depending on the type of work being registered.
4. Other Relevant Documents: Additional documents may be required based on specific circumstances, such as proof of ownership of the work, a copyright transfer agreement, or other documents related to the work.
1. Prepare the Documents: Ensure that your documents are complete and accurate according to the legal requirements for copyright registration.
2. Submit the Application: Submit your application to the Copyright Office or through authorized offices.
3. Examination of the Application: The examination process includes:
- Form Examination: Checking the validity of the registration application.
- Copyright Recognition: If the application is valid, the competent authority will recognize your copyright.
4. Issuance of Copyright Certificate: Once the application is examined and approved, the Copyright Office will issue the Copyright Certificate to you.
- Regulated Processing Time: 20 working days (from submission of the application).
- Actual Processing Time: Processing may take 2 to 3 months, depending on the nature of the work.
- Duration of Protection: Copyright protection lasts for the lifetime of the author plus 50 years after the author’s death. For joint works, the protection lasts from the death of the last surviving author.
