Administrative sanction measures are effective responses in protecting intellectual property rights. These measures not only help prevent infringement actions but also create a clear legal environment that safeguards the legitimate rights of organizations and individuals.
Administrative sanctions are widely applied to acts of infringement of intellectual property rights (IP) as follows: - Producing, importing, transporting and trading in counterfeit IP. - Producing, importing, transporting, trading, storing stamps, labels or articles bearing forged trademarks or geographical indications.
Upon detecting violations, individuals and organizations may face the following sanctions: - Warning: An official notice requesting an end to the infringement. - Fine: Applied with a maximum fine of up to VND 500 million for violating organizations.

Depending on the nature and severity of the infringement, in addition to the main sanctioning forms, the following additional measures may also be applied:
- Confiscation of counterfeit IP, raw materials, materials and means mainly used for production and trading of counterfeit goods.
- Suspension of business activities in the field of violation for a certain period of time.

For example, when a company manufactures and distributes counterfeit goods bearing a trademark that has been registered by a competitor, the competent State regulatory authority may request the cessation of the production and trade of this product, and impose fines or confiscation of counterfeit goods to prevent infringement and protect IP rights.
